12:50pm Summit Working Groups
- The public/private working groups launched after the 2006 Summit will present progress reports on their development of 1) a model water-efficient landscaping ordinance for San Diego County, 2) a collaborative industry cluster to develop the supply chain for water efficient landscaping products and services, and 3) public education.
1:25pm Break-Out Sessions
Guided by a moderator, Summit attendees discuss and develop key strategies. (Note: attendees
indicate session preferences on registration form, and event organizers assign sessions to assure
industry representation.)
- Provide input to Working Group on Model Water Efficient Landscaping Ordinance
- Provide input to the Industry Work Group on the incentive programs that work best and discuss which ones will provide the most immediate conservation savings
- Join a focus group to discuss the branding and packaging of outdoor water conservation products, programs, and services
- Discuss recycled water capabilities and restrictions, and stakeholder needs and ideas
- Discuss conservation and efficiency opportunities possible through a partnership between SDG&E and San Diego County water agencies
